TEAM Problems? 5 DYSFUNCTIONS that kill productivity: The Business Forum – Action COACH

QUESTIONS? #Business #Market #tech Since “Build a Tower, Build a Team” was presented by Tom Wujec on Ted Talks, more people are recognizing that dynamic team building is key to long-term success in business. This video covers the five key elements that undermine team building, and how you can fix them.

How can you build a winning team? Understand these five key team building dynamics and how they undercut your potential when not accomplished.
1. Absence of Trust
2. Fear of Conflict
3. Lack of Commitment
4, Avoidance of Accountability
5, Inattention to Results

The foundation is number one, the absence of Trust. If you don’t have trust among your team members, all the other challenges you have ahead of you become impossible. In past experiences, I’d suggest you look at “Respect” when Trust is absent. You’ll find people disrespecting each other in a distrustful environment. While you can’t force people to trust each other, you can require that they respect each other… and when they do, trust starts to build. Respectful conduct is a building block for trust, and you’ll find that Trust can come back once mutual respect has been established.
