Bill Walton was the best passing big. As far as offensive bigs, that would be Wilt Chamberlin... Stats don't lie.

You mention two great centres and then you gloss over scoring with David Robinson and Hakeem Olajuwon. But Jokic should be compared to Bird.

The Joker will make history at the end of this season when he wins MVP. He will be the first ever mvp to be a 2nd round pick. 41st pick in the 2014 draft. He almost went undrafted

  • Rudolph Courseault

Jokic is great, but Wilt averaged 50 points in a season and Kareem developed the sky hook because he sooo dominant that they made the dunk ineligible in college. Again, Jokic is great, but let's have some balance.

Is this a Joke?? Lol.Literally a joke.... Olajuwon would DESTROY jokic. Shaq would destroy jokic. Yao ming was a better offensive player. I can name at least 10 bigs/ centers with better offensive game. What is this question? Gtfoh LMFAO🤣🤣🤣🤣🤔🙄

  • AlkalineAjay

“Big men” aren’t dead. Jokic and embiid are mvp front runners. Giannis, KD would considered big men pre 2010. Basketball has become position less. Big men pass now. Shoot threes etc. Bol bol is another great example.

  • R

He is impossible to guard, it's crazy. A center like this in a soft defense era were zones are allowed and they can double before the pass... it's unfair because if you double him, the guy will pass the ball like Lary Bird. And if you leave him alone, he can score in the post, score in the mid/long range and he has 4 athletic guys who can cut at any given time. It's like if Sabonis reincarnated, this is a sample of what Sabonis could do in the 80s if he actually played in the NBA

  • Super_B

Okay. Just stop it. You MAY be able to make a case he is one of the most offensively skilled big men ever. But, I would have to go with Olajuwon. But look. Wilt score 50 PPG in a season, 100 PPG and led the league in assists one season, just to prove a point, because a reporter once called him selfish. Wilt was skilled, but probably not as skilled as Jolie and certainly not as skilled as Olajuwon. But Wilt is both the strongest player ever to play in the NBA and the most athletic. It insane to call ANY other big the greatest offensive player. Wilt was the best, period.

  • trekteam

Why is Jokic good for basketball? Because he gives a hope to average, fat, sloppy kids that with hard work and dedication one day they too can be NBA MVPs. The guys is a priceless gem, all skills and brain.

Cousins already did that and was the best center in the NBA for years until he tore his achilles but he played for the kings whose management is bad as the knicks and couldn't get any half decent players around him and when he got to pelicans with rondo/AD/Jrue they were a solid playoff team(not contenders cuz warriors with KD existed)

I cant see Jokic surviving a forearm to the throat by Bill Laimbeer, Rick Mahorn or Charles Oakley. This is why the true greats played during the murder row years of the 1980s NBA. Guys like Moses Malone, Kevin Mchale, Charles Barkley, and so many others are the true greats of the game and why Michael Jordan is the best of all time.

  • Green Sea Eagle
    Green Sea Eagle

No mention of Wilt Chamberlain? Hakeem Olajuwon? Bill Walton in his prime? Kevin Garnett? Arvydas Sabonis? David Robinson? So many other centers who were much more offensively skilled than Shaq. Jokic is unique and great but how long would he have lasted in the physical pounding NBA during the 1960s to 2005? I wonder...😏

Two Joker's brothers are personal trainers and game strategists, (both good bball players themselves). It is interesting, how Joker looks at opponents feet, (all opponents defending the rim), and on a small foot move in the wrong direction of any of the defenders, he fires the most optimal pass that has little to do with the instinct but with the pure science of bball. Joker with his brothers and Malone are one team of bball scientists.

    Prime Arvydas Sabonis, imo.

    • BludAardvark

More evolved IMO. Jokic's vision and various ways of passing are unique and superior to him. He's got great outlet passing ability, even on the open floor where he throws some fireballs to his teammates up the court. And basically in any spot on the mid court he can get it to an open guy with just a sliver of a window. Best skilled big man passer of all time.

I’m not going to lie it’s really amazing how Jokic and Embiid improve their games in these seasons. They both are really good mvp candidates, but I do say Jokic does win it because of Embiid’s miss games. But I’m just happy to see them revive the Center Postion

  • mstreamm

Basketball anti-bigman rules are changing toward slam dunk hotdog circus. Nothing more than that.

  • AFTR-Photography

He’s a child next to Wilt. In today’s game, Embiid is 100x better. Go away with this silly, I’ve not seen anything nonsense.

    • Homer Ruglia Beoulve
      Homer Ruglia Beoulve

What you don't understand is Jokic's all-time offensive greatness is about not having the ball most of the time, something that Wilt Chamberlain isn't. In the teams that Wilt played, he is the focus, the anchor AND the center of the offense, everything revolves around him and should have the ball 85% to 90% for most of the time. Jokic on the other hand only have the ball 25% of possession despite being the fulcrum of the Denver Nuggets' offense. That's like comparing one-man wrecking crew(Chamberlain) to a maestro conductor(Jokic). It's apples to god damn pears, man.

  • TheModer8ter

God is real and all people are imperfect. Sin means imperfect, so all people sin. Only sinless perfect beings are allowed to live forever in heaven. The good news is that Jesus is the Messiah, which means God with us.. He died for the remission of sin, including yours, was buried, and rose form the dead 3 days later. If you simply believe in this to save you, then you have everlasting life. John 6:47 "verily, verily I say unto you, he that believes in me has everlasting life."-Jesus.
