Alt title:A British Man explaining why he can’t be friends with you
Undercommented comment
So true
Or, A British Man explaining exactly HOW, in the event you are a warlock, you should torment his trapped eternal soul to fuel your twisted magicks.
Underrated
Some
"Never build your house out of valuable blocks" Grian with his secret base: 👀
Ltn’s emerald tower from bedrock to the build limit👀
lukethenotable with his emerald tower.
In a older video Grian said we shouldn’t build with valuable blocks
Lukethenotable absolutely ignoring it
And keralis with his office in season 7
6:36 Fun fact: Snowballs have the same throw speed and range of an ender pearl. So you can throw a snowball across the lava lake or void (in the end) to find your trajectory and ensure that you hit your target. Correct me down in the replies if I'm wrong
bedrock players: XD?
I know thsi already and yeah it is true
Me: Oh Yes And Next He’s Going To Talk About AutoJump And Never Mine Straight Down. Mumbo: Doesn’t Include Auto Jump And Never Mine Straight Down. Me: I Feel Betrayed, Backstabbed And Quite Possibly, Bamboozled.
@Apollon geez why so rude
@The lost wiffle I litteraly never asked and why did you go to a 7 month old comment to state this?
@Apollon digging straight down was never a problem for me, just my younger brother who always fell in my holes
@2Tri You’re replying to a 7 month old comment to correct my grammar.
6 year old me in creative thinking that it was cool to make my house out of diamonds and gold and then covering it in spawners because I thought they said “monster swallower” 👁👄👁
LOL MONSTER SWALLOWER
And then you got a bunch of pigs around your house?
Mumbo: Who will break just one piece of wood from a tree? Speedrunners:
@pokecraft gaming then that would be a manhunt
Manhunt players:
My brother's friend is just like that so i made him visitor if he comes in my world he can do nothing now.
@Βασίλης Βλάχος well dream's videos are running from someone while speedruning minecraft so he can't get the whole tree
that is the only reason i dont like Dream
2:22 - My thoughts for mending on the bow: I can just buy infinite arrows from villagers incredibly easily, but if I ever break my bow- welp, time for a lot of enchantment work. 6:05 - Torches placed on the sides of blocks (Especially near the ground) are useful as pointers- pointing towards base or towards highly recognizable landmarks. Good to find ones way back home. 8:58 - I uh.... As someone who builds their base deep underground (To avoid territory conflicts, and keep above ground terrain pretty).... I feel like every single block in my base is always a slime chunk. (Then again, my bases are.... quite expansive, to put an example: I usually put extreme goals like making farms for each crop that are over 1000x1000 blocks, etc)
@KaedonX06 Keeping a full stack usually lasts long enough for most short adventures. I'd rather have to worry about ammo management than worry about inevitably replacing my enchanted bow when it breaks. - I have heard there are glitches and methods to prevent the bow from costing extra levels to repair, but in consideration of the normal aspect of it costing more each time you repair it - I'd rather manage a supply of arrows. Edit: I wanted to add some pros and cons, as well as to mention that both sides have positives and good points, and it's mainly a matter of preference. Infinity Pros: Infinite Arrows. Uses less inventory space. Turns bow usage away from arrow count and towards a bows durability which, by default, is the equivalent of 6 stacks of arrows - a significant amount. Infinity Cons: Rising cost of repairing bow. Eventual need to replace the bow unless utilizing a glitch or special manipulation of the game. Infinity does not effect special arrow types, only the normal arrow making it only useful for the purpose of normal arrows. Bow can break in the middle of combat. Repair Pros: Bow never needs to be replaced, meaning enchantment costs of repairing and replacing the bow are effectively nullified. Repair Cons: Normal arrows consumed on use - though normal arrows can be gotten in massive amounts with relative ease it still takes up inventory space. Can run out of arrows in the middle of combat. Reviewing this, the main point of contention is the inventory space and short term vs long term combat and exploration continuity. Repair is better for those intending short term expeditions as they can take less arrows without risk and thus use less inventory spaces. Meanwhile Infinity is better for longer expeditions as Infinity relies on the bows durability, which usually lasts many times more than that of a stack of arrows. Should also add that individuals who do not restock their supplies often may benefit far more from infinity than repair. So after evaluation of Pros and Cons, Repair is better for players who restock often and take shorter journeys away from their source of arrows. Infinity is better for players who rarely restock and who are often on long expeditions away from their source of arrows. TLDR: Repair for people who restock often. Infinity for people who don't restock often.
@Xera Getting large quantities of arrows is easy, yes. But if you use a bow often, then even if you keep several stacks on you at all times, you’ll end up running out when it counts. Sure, you have chests full of them but they aren’t on you. It’s easier to just keep 1 at all times rather than having to refill when you need it
For the pearl one, you could use snowballs
You don’t do mending on a bow
@Fire Guythere is no enchantment Level 40
“40 reasons I don’t want to be friends with you”
41. 1 from me
Ooooooooh
Mending on my bow for sure. I have a mob farm that produces more arrows I can store anyway, and I don't often need to shoot more than 2 stacks of arrows, so I'd prefer to not go through the trouble of enchanting a new bow.
"They're a steady food source, but please don't eat them." -Mumbo Jumbo, 2019
Mumbo: "This gold armor is ter-" **Piglin snorts angrily**
The Nether uptate gave gold armour some use
Lol
O: now I understand
Well, golden tools are actually faster than netherite, so you could use a mending pickaxe to mine coal since you probably get enough XP to maintain its durability.
@Kat Graham netherite, powered rails, trading piglins
In all honesty with the spyglass now just use sodium instead of Optifine. It increases the FPS to a ridiculous degree and now in combination with Iris will also run shaders.
Plus there's a bunch of fabric mods that allow you to use zoom and dynamic lights with sodium, the only reason to use Optifine is that some texture packs only work with Optifine
Mumbo: Cat is the best When 1.16 comes out: PIGSTEP
But Stal is so good
Tbh, I prefer wait, or as it use ti be called "where are we now"
The newest one is pretty neat too, I think it's called "Otherside"
Agreed
PIGSTEP u mean that disk? well i never picked any kind of disk in my hole life
I choose mending on my bow because I completely maxed it out on enchantments, have an xp farm, and have two villagers who trade me 20 arrows for emeralds. Because I have a huge semi-ajtomatic carrot farm that gives me over 10 stacks of carrots to trade for emeralds each time, it just makes sense.
I do like 40% of those things, and I don't intend on stopping. Although I am curious as to why spider farms can't be used for xp.
"Never build your house out of valuable blocks" Luke TheNotable: Looks away nervously
i was just about to comment this
@Clueziey true but in creative
1,000th like
@Clueziey mine was just gold squares.
@TigarriYT Who asketh for thou opinion?
When exploring caves and mines I put virtually all the torches right next to the surface I want illuminated so I get the most area coverage from them. I *also* put all the torches on the right-hand wall as a way to easily find my way out. Additional torches for lighting go on the floor so they don't get confused with the "breadcrumbs torches".
Creative mode tip: Never place a monster spawned and forget to place the spawn egg in, after 10000 days of the game, in your auto farm or zombie defence, you’re getting nothing. And don’t completely destroy a dungeon. It’s a waste of time. JUST FARM IT
“If you choose mending over infinity, what are you thinking?” I’m thinking about my skeleton grinder which makes more arrows than I’ll ever use, plus all the XP and time I’ve sunk into making my bow in the first place. Sure, having 3 less free slots due to having to carry arrows is midly annoying, but I’ll take that over managing my bow durability and having to make a new one from scratch when it breaks for good any day.
3:10 the other pickaxe adds anvil uses to your main pick that might be enchanted whereas the diamonds don’t
Mumbo: "Says never enchant a pickaxe out of curiosity" Also mumbo:*gets almost the best pickaxe*
I meam unbreaking and efficiency, perfect for strip kining then use another pickaxe to mine the resources
@Dana Kim why would anyone put it on a unenchanted bow? i do wish mending and infinity worked together though
@Superslim Anoniem wait what i didn't understand anything you said about using mending on a bow you dont use over a stack of arrows. do you mean infinity
@Dana Kim also to bad mending and infinity wont work together least on console
@Dana Kim on a bow no on a OP enchanted bow yes
I have an extremely powerful bow without infinity or mending and I also have three skeleton spawners plus a normal mob farm near my base. I could’ve put one more enchantment on my bow but then it would be too expensive to repair it, so I chose mending because i have so many arrows anyway This is one of the only circumstances where mending can be picked over infinity
Here are reasons that I can think of for doing this 0:17 if you only need one and want to save time (tho I do think no one should do this) 0:44 if you need a potion once and never again, you don't have glass, or you don't have a source of water nearby 1:28 Cauldrons? 1:57 save time and durability? 2:11 does this count for one block size "bases" 3:06 if you have 1 or 2 diamonds and the pickaxe isn't that damaged 4:02 anarchy servers say hi 4:17 people eat zombie flesh because they don't have anything else and its night 4:40 people who joined after 1.8 4:59 that's double the stairs needed 6:00 people with different opinions?
Comin back up does not save time
5:01 actually this is a refreshing design to put as a roof and with some extra adjustmends this can look real good
On the subject of the Cat disc, i started my first hardcore world, and 25 days in, got the cat disc. This is my first tome getting a natural disc in the game, and the first time surviving over 2 days in a world. AND, i only use a golden helmet because of the Vanilla Tweaks resource pack with the crown look on it.
Mumbo Jumbo: No body is impresses by people who build houses with valuable items Luke The Notable: Hold my energy drink.
I always choose mending on my bow, thank you very much. Infinity doesn’t count for special arrows, and I always use spectral, because I have so many from bartering.
I love how Mumbo went to Grian’s base to show an example for a chest monster!
Free circle tip: Make a cross and then go diagonally! It can make any circle easy.
"Optifine is the best" I used to be a lover of Optifine, but I've recently switched to Sodium (+Iris for shaders) and the difference is actually night and day. I'm now team Sodium all the way!
I also now main Sodium and Iris… it just makes sense! Although I can’t really use sodium and iris when I play forge mods soooo
2:23 Well here's a counterpoint: Arrows are not the rarest thing in the world. Just farm several skeletons and you're pretty much good for the next couple days, during which you can just farm more skeletons for more arrows. TL:DR Mending Bows aren't completely useless.
6:36 snowballs have the same range as ender pearls so throw a snowball first.
tip: if you need only one log, break the log at the bottom then place dirt in the empty space so it doesn't float
Mumbo: 'Who are the people who take one block from the tree and then leave it?' Me: Speedrunners
Laughs in xCrownie.
People who just want to make a crafting table
Legit had the same thought
Yeh but they don’t play it afterwards
@Absolute Chaos fair. Speedrunners think of him mainly as a RSloftr who tried speedrunning and was good at it, not an actual dedicated speedrunner
2:32 It isn't too bad, if you have a god bow, you don't want it breaking, plus, fletchers trade 1 emerald for 16 arrows (4 emeralds for a stack of arrows)
i always carry atleast 10 lapis on me at all times. It always more helpful and if you forget to put some at your Enchanting room its gets useful
Thanks for this helpful guide for my Minecraft world! 🙏
Number one: Don't expect to get anywhere on any online servers without dying 1000x in the process.
Mumbo: Your ceiling must be 3 blocks tall. Also Mumbo: 1.5 tall minecraft base!
Not if you want somewhere to run after you anger an endermen
Ok
@Dolipe 0.15
.5 is possible now with snow layers
1 Block tall minecraft base!
Frost Walker’s actually pretty useful in the nether so that you don’t constantly get burned
Mumbo: “Your roof has to be at least three blocks in height.” Also Mumbo: Builds a one block tall base
2:35 arrows are not that hard to grind, and if you use glow stone you double the arrows, I prefer that over losing my god bow
1 arrow takes same inventory slot as 64 arrows. Plus infonity doesn't work with special arrows, like potion tipped or spectral and I'm pretty sure spectral arrows do more damage. Mending bows never break Infinity bows are junk I will die on this hill
Mumbo, if you haven't already offered to build Grian a sorting system for stacks of diamond blocks, I don't know what you're doin mate
For diamond
